Submission Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted online.
  2. Abstracts must be written in clear English.
  3. The abstract body may be no more than a maximum of 350 words.
  4. No tables, graphs or images are allowed.
  5. Ensure that your abstract is grammatically correct and free of typographical errors.
  6. Please check the presenting author when you type the author information online.
  7. If you do not receive an email confirmation, it means we have no record of your submission.If you are sure you made a submission, check the email address that you used to make your submission.
  8. All papers are to be submitted ONLINE on or before the submission deadline for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for reprinting any material included in their papers that is already copyrighted elsewhere.
  9. For an abstract to be formally accepted, included in the program, the presenting author must be registered to attend the Congress by 30 June 2022.

Presentation Guideline

RAPID ORAL FORMAT AND GUIDELINE

1. Only one (1) static Power Point slide is permitted (no slide transitions, animations or ‘movement’ of any description, the slide is to be displayed from the beginning of the oration).

2. No additional electronic media (e. g sound and video files, laser pointer) are permitted.

3. No additional props (e. g costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.

4. Presentation are limited to 3 minutes (maximum) and presentations exceeding 3 minutes are disqualified.

5. Presentation should include:

  • Why your research is important?
  • What you have done to address the research question?
  • What long term outcomes are you anticipating?

6. Presentation are to be spoken word (e .g no poems, raps, songs).

7. Presentation is to commence from the stage.

8. The 3 minutes started as presenter commences through movement or speech.

9. There will be 2 minutes Q&A by the adjudicating panel.

10. The decision of the adjudicating panel is final.

11. Please submit your Power Point Slide (.ppt) through the abstract submission system by 11th of July 2022 (MONDAY), 5pm.

 

E-POSTER FORMAT AND GUIDELINE

A poster should be self-explanatory, well-organized, attractive and shall be presented under the following headings:

  • TITLE
  • AUTHOR(S) & AFFILIATION(S)
  • INTRODUCTION
  • OBJECTIVES
  • MATERIALS AND METHODS
  • RESULTS
  • DISCUSSION
  • CONCLUSION
  • ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (IF ANY)

 

E-POSTER INSTRUCTION

  1. The texts and figures should be readable from at least 1 meter away.
  2. All posters should be laid as portrait (16:9).
  3. The title should be composed of CAPITAL letters.
  4. Use the minimum amount of text possible. Only use what is necessary to make your point. Be concise, but answer the basic questions (What, When, Where, How, Why) using the standard format. Introduction (background, statement of problem, purpose/objectives), Methods (experimental design, techniques), Results (data summary, findings), and Conclusions (interpretations, implications) organize the material to tell a logical, coherent story.
  5. Use large, BOLD lettering for readability. Use fonts that are easy to read (i.e., avoid fancy fonts).
  6. Use borders or white space to separate sections. Avoid large, continuous blocks of text.
  7. Use figures (graphs, charts and illustrations) (with captions) as much as possible, making sure that they are legible.
  8. The use of color will enhance poster readability (i.e., for contrast and to highlight important points) and attractiveness. Aesthetics are an important part of preparing a poster that will attract attention.
  9. Summarize results/findings. Bullets work well to summarize key points or contributions of the study.
  10. KEEP YOUR POSTER SIMPLE AND PROVIDE A CLEAR “TAKE-HOME” MESSAGE; you can provide details in discussion section or during the conference itself.
  11. Please upload your e-poster in PDF format through the abstract submission system by 11th July 2022 (MONDAY), 5.00 PM.


E-POSTER DISPLAY

Each poster presentation will be projected on ONE designated LCD screen. The LCD screen will be numbered and the assignment of LCD screen will be informed to the presenter during conference registration. During e-poster sessions, presenter should stand by at their allocated LCD screen. There will be THREE (3) e-poster sessions scheduled on the 16th of July at 10.30 - 10.45 am (15 mins), 12.15 - 1.00 pm (45 mins) and 3.40 - 4.10 pm (30 mins).
